Oil Coolers
In my opinion, I feel the oil cooler needs to be bigger and have a fan hooked to it for optimum performance and cooling. I might be wrong there . I also think placement is important. Im guessing most harley people don't want to be caught dead with a radiator on their bike, and you have the looks issue also. So im still looking for what i would consider an efficient oil cooling system. Jagg has some universal coolers that are pretty big but i would have to modify the mounting brackets. Just my two cents.

We actually take them off, if on a used scoot.
BUT for you folks that run 'down sowth', desert, or in heat and high humidity, you NEED all the help you can git. (COOLING the oil, dummmies. We CAN'T do anything 'bout the rest!!!!!!!!!!
)In my case, I run 50w until July and August, then pour in 60w when it gets 'warm'.
IMHO, the 'jury' is still out with the 'new' motors. We may need a cooler on them, even up here. The death nail for an air cooled engine is heat. It is what killed the VW Beetle in this country. As the EPA steps up more and more emmissions control, more and more heat is built up/retained in the motor. That's why VW went to h2o pumpers here, but the air cooled is still made in Mexico.
Which cooler works the best? I'll jus' git my popcorn and sit back and watch the goings on.
The Formula you need to work with, is: Q = M X delta T. Q = heat, M = mass flow rate, delta T = difference in Temp, in and out.
I happen to have some of those "Mother's helpers" (worry killerz
)for oil filters. They are rings, that look like an accordian bellows, but in a circle. You stretch it over the oil filter, and they 'increase' the surface area exposed to the air, and thus transfer heat from oil filter to air. Do they work? Elephino. But they sold 'em back before a lot of you were born.
One of those 'gadgets' that a guy ends up hangin' on the grudge wall, and then peeps ask silly ?'s about 'em, when they are hangin' out for coffee. You know, like 'deer whistles'. IF you believe, you believe.
I believe I'm gonna git YET another cup o' coffee.

Probably helps a little. Definately makes it easy to change oil filter without making mess.
Thing I don't like is cannot run K&N filter with it...filter is too long. '06 RG.

That's the way do go because I don't like seeing the extra bulk. But for 600 bucks got other money priorities first. I'll get one the day I get a full dresser and move to vegas
