People are either stupid, crazy or both. I was riding down a really twisty mountain pass with my friend in front of me. This lady gets right up on my azz. I was going over the posted speed...but anyway...she's driving so close that there's no way she wouldn't roll over me if I I hit my breaks. So my friend (a BIG guy) waves me past him so he can be behind me and deal with this bi-atch. I go around him in a twist, splitting his lane...and SHE comes along with me, Almost taking him out in the process! I didn't see what happened, but I believe it did involve him placing a boot on her driver side window. She wasn't behind us any longer when we got to the bottom of the mountain.
Had a lady speed up to catch me in a four lane highway. She looked me in the eyes and then tried to run me off the road when her lane merged into mine. This wasn't inattention---it wasn't an accident--it was just pure *** I am bigger so screw you driving on her part. I thought about kicking in her door but had girlfriend on back. Ended up just dodging and flipping her off. Live to ride--ride to live but sometimes it gets old putting up with people trying to kill me. Seems that people drive worse to me around Christmas.
I'm calling bull****,,,,,,,if she "tried to run you off the road". why did you not call the authorities?
Remember the plate, and call them in as a DUI.
I've done that to some people before
Best idea yet I need to remember that one.
I don't know about where you guys live but here in Memphis the COPS would just blow it off as me being an AHole.
I'm leaning towards the I'm biggerthan you theory. She may have cut off by someone bigger than her and guess who is next in the food chain. There's no excuse for it. Many have figured out there aren't enough LEO out there and the chances of getting away with are in the wrong doers favor. I've seen it here in the town where I live, in fact I don't remember the last I saw an LEO in rush traffic other than shift change. Glad to hear you okay, the wife and I have been thru the same but I've seen other cagers flippin off the offenders. Just read other replies, LEO have to see the offense before they take action, I like the DUI thing.

I am seriously considering getting one of those digital camcorders that you can mount anywhere with a sticky pad, maybe on the front fender. Then I would have a record of these ********* that I would turn over to the police. Around here drivers seem totally incapable of keeping thier car on THEIR side of the road. It's an offense (my wife was ticketed when a bee flew in her window and she crossed a yellow line) that's good for $170 fine and three points. If these idiots got enough points they would be off the road for a while at least. Like most agree, you are never going to win an argument with a cage. Better to back off and live to ride another day.

Let's face it. There are some real AH Harley riders out there. Maybe she had a previous encounter with one, and decided they are all the same. Now all the door kickers and ball bearing riders will offer their advice. My advice is not much you can do about it, deal with it as it's part of riding, but don't add to the existing negative attitude towards bikers. When you flip someone off, they will remember you the next time.

That is really nothing out of the ordinary for cagers out there...They don't just do it with bikers ... they even do it with each other. They pull this stuff all the time. THAT's exactly why so many people (especially bikers) get either injured or dead. It's a phenomenon.
I do not support violent retaliation by any means but it's THOSE times ... where it's a deliberate act ... (no different as pointing a weapon at a target and pulling the trigger) where it would be nice to 'educate' them about driver edicate.
I remember following a guy who had just pulled out in front of me in town. When we got to the first stoplight, I pulled up beside him. Turns out he was bigger than me and very muscular, and about half my age. I pointed my finger and kept a stern look right into his eyes. Bear in mind that I have the old-school biker look, and was wearing a do-rag. LOL, he looked like he was wetting his pants. I guess the media version of the badd-*** biker has some effect. But, ya know what? It could've been different. I might get shot one day doing that kind of stuff. So, the point is, as much as people **** me off, I gotta watch how I react to it.
