People are either stupid, crazy or both. I was riding down a really twisty mountain pass with my friend in front of me. This lady gets right up on my azz. I was going over the posted speed...but anyway...she's driving so close that there's no way she wouldn't roll over me if I I hit my breaks. So my friend (a BIG guy) waves me past him so he can be behind me and deal with this bi-atch. I go around him in a twist, splitting his lane...and SHE comes along with me, Almost taking him out in the process! I didn't see what happened, but I believe it did involve him placing a boot on her driver side window. She wasn't behind us any longer when we got to the bottom of the mountain.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Sometimes you can let them go by (2+ lane highway) or you gotta deal with it (backroad with no place to get away).
i have had 3 occasions of being run off the road in 2008 alone. its not any fun and has forced me to carry a weapon on rides when i am alone or on a long trip. its sad that it has come to this but i feel i have been forced into it. i have not had to use it because i think when they see a sidearm at your hip when on the road they give you all the space you need
I'm calling bull****,,,,,,,if she "tried to run you off the road". why did you not call the authorities?
Now why would you think it's bull****, sounds very plausible. On I495 in D.C. I had a woman come over on me until I honked my horn; she paused, looked right at me and went back into her lane for a moment and then decided she really wanted my lane and came over right on top of me, the whole time looking right at me.
This isn't a once in a lifetime occurrence here in D.C., typically happens once a day (if I'm lucky).

I have a question ... Not just to you but to all that 'carry' for this exact reason ... When an instance like this happens ... and in the few seconds of helterskelter, just staying on the road and keeping upright is difficult enough .... How do you complete an evasive manuever AND get your concealed weapon out to brandish it to your aggressor? ... or ... do you chase them down afterwards AND THEN brandish it? .... or does JUST carrying it on your hip do the trick?

Call the auothorities? for what. Big group of us headed to Daytona biketoberfest A*&%** i mean lady in a van kept cutting onto our group finally cuts us off (on purpose) in the sun pass lane and slams on her brakes couple riding with us flips on hi side and now a son and daughter have no mother. Authority shows up and says that motorcycle caravans are aloud to be cut off and she probably had the right of way in the sun pass lane. Even though she was a road rage driver it didnt matter.

That's horrible!! I'm sorry for your friends. What is a sunpass lane and why would she have had a right of way?

that's because you did something that pissed her off, unlike the first post, where it was supposedly "deliberate" for no reason.
Had a lady speed up to catch me in a four lane highway. She looked me in the eyes and then tried to run me off the road when her lane merged into mine. This wasn't inattention---it wasn't an accident--it was just pure *** I am bigger so screw you driving on her part. I thought about kicking in her door but had girlfriend on back. Ended up just dodging and flipping her off. Live to ride--ride to live but sometimes it gets old putting up with people trying to kill me. Seems that people drive worse to me around Christmas.
And you wonder why some people throw ball bearings..............
