Default Food for thought

Just wondering what everyone thinks. If you're considering buying a big twin, would it be worth riding a sportster for free for a year even though it's not what you really want? You'll still have your knees in the breeze and it only cost you gas and insurance for the year. Also wondering if you need to document your service or can you ride and beat the hell out of it with no service and still get MSRP on a trade.

Unless you are paying cash for the Sportster and they are still doing the trade in a year from now the first year making payments is mostly intrest and they arn't going to give you that agaist a new one.

Well, thats true if your paying cash for the Sportster. If your doing a loan, it's an interest only loan and the interest you pay for 12 monthsis theirs. Nothing is really free!!

I am trading my Sporty for a new RKC, and I am getting full MSRP. If you do it I would suggest doing the service at the dealer. The dealer does have the option to reduce the trade if they feel like the bike was not serviced properly. If you do the service your self document everything you do.

I don't see any issue with riding the Sporty for a year. That is what I did. I was also able to pay below MSRP for the Sporty I don't think that will happen now. Still a good program. Good luck.

I would buy something that I want to ride. I have never bought vehicles and looked at them as possible investments, bought it to ride and have fun with.

I'd say no... just get what you really want. You're not riding for free unless your paying cash for that Sporty. There's deals to be had now on the Big Twins.

If you are paying cash, go for it. Its your ride and you have to be comfortable with the Sporty.
