I was a crewman /gunner /squad leader on a Vulcan, 20mm gatlin gun. If you ever seen one of these monsters rip off you would know why I chose masterblaster. It was also the name assigned to the best gunner in the batallion, which was me for 2 years in a row before I became a sergeant.
My favorite cartoon character. Snoopy (Peanuts) in his alter ego as the flying ace doing battle with the Red Barron.
Yes, Im 44 years old, and like cartoons. (some of them... the classic ones)
Its the fact that Snoopy (as a dog) leads a fairly dull life, which he manages to survive by allowing his imagination to run amok. I've always taken the meaning of that to be that the world can take EVERYTHING from you, but it can't take away your dreams, and that you can be anything you want to be, if you just believe in yourself enough. I've also always been told (since I was a child) that I have a very vivid imagination (like Snoopy). As well as the fact that Snoopy is surrounded by children, yet goes about his life the way HE wants to. (don't we all feel like that sometimes)
And yes, I named ONE of my two English Cockers "Snoopy". It fits him to a tee.
