What's your point? You say you don't want to argue, and then you post that?
When did I ever tell anyone to wear one or not? This is a discussion forum right?
By the way, the post you quoted was a joke.
how 'bout....you chill....k?
Okay - discuss away. My point in this discussion basically is that it is a choice that any person can either wear one or not - depending on your state law. I have seen accidents that it doesn't matter what the heck your wearing - your dead. But by all means sir - don't mean to step on your feelings or thoughts or question your comment. Okay? Sorry to interrupt your thoughts. Sorry - really - sorry........

Did you ever notice how people always yell the loudest when the agree in principal and just use different words to express it?
We all are agreeing that you get to choose what is right for you. We all get angry when somebody else presumes they have the authority to tell you what to do, even if it is something you would have done anyway.
Some squids shouldn't wear helmets and leathers -- then maybe they wouldn't feel so invincible, act a little more responsibly and be LESS likely to have a wreck.
Well, sorry everyone if I came off as preachy or upset or wound up or whatever...I didn't mean to. I was actually joking around quite a bit, but that doesn't always transfer over very good in typing. Maybe I should come up with a series of photos of myself with numerous facial expressions to use instead of the smileys! LOL
But not this guy >>>>> on this thread. Like I said, I have no problem with people who don't wanna wear a helmet in a state that does not require it. I think here in Florida, if you are a licensed motorcycle rider, you can ride with no helmet as long as you carry health/bodily injury insurance of at least $10,000. That may have gone up to $20,000 now, but I would have to check. Either way, I still agree that it is the riders choice as long as the law allows.
I realize that I sometimes may sound like I'm almost arguing against myself. I think it's because, like many others, I wear a helmet (now), but still think it should be riders choice.

Very well said mopardave - we are on the same page. What made you decide to always wear a helmet? I think I read somewhere along the line that you had a horrible accident. That usually does it. Here in Missouri - it is mandatory - so - I am so use to seeing it - I know nothing different really. We truly are saying the same thing. So I hear ya.

Yeah, after we were hit the last time I had to rethink a lot of things. I don't ride as much...I'm currently drinking a coke...strait! LOL....and I always wear a helmet, with the rare exception of a quick hood cruise to dry the bike a bit before polishing it up or if I go around the corner to my buds house. I usually even put it on for that, too.
