Thanks, getting on the bike and heading out for a long ride is what I want to do. So far everything has been positive on this bike. If it turns our anything like my Sporty for reliability and fun that would be great.
Thanks Road_Twister,
I will remember the jet kit. I hope to head out tomorrow to check the bike out, if the weather cooperates. It is -26 today, kind of ridiculous for Iowa, but the weather has been strange the last couple of years.
Cam bearing and plastic breather gear are the weak links, change the cam and fix both at the same time. If it hasn't been done already. Then again I have a 1993 all stock with 60,000 miles no problems.
I went to look at the bike yesterday and was able to ride it around inside their warehouse. I decided that the bike didn't quite fit me right, but I was able to find a '99 Softail Custom in excellent condition and 15K miles. I rode that around and it fit me perfectly. So that is bike I will be getting next weekend.
I appreciate all the advice from everyone. How do you insert a picture into the posts?
