I'm tooting my own horn,But monday i took my 07 1200 XLC into a dealer and traded up for a 2009 FXD,plain vivd black.I heard about dealers giving m.s.r.p for 07 and up sportys if you get a bigger ride,I put 17,000 miles on my 1200 i love everything about it.But when they ran the numbers and said put $1000 down and the FXD is yours,it didnt make any sense not to,I would never even see blue book for my sporty cuz of the miles for starters,then of course little scratches,etc. would detract i was very meticulous about keeping the bike clean and running,And you would never know by looking that i had racked up those kind of miles on it.So i traded up.The only problem now is,I was planning to move to VA Beach,And then the first week of november when i was supposed to leave Maine,My dad found out he has lung cancer,So i canned the move as dad must have treatment and will/is in no shape to run his shop.And so i lost my garage.But the dealer is storing my FXD at the warehouse,I did want to take the bike out for a ride,but it -12 degrees in maine,so i wimped out lol! i will ride at +25 degrees but no colder.So i must wait til spring to go for a ride

sorry to hear about your dad chugchug. but your still a sissy for not going out for at least a little ride! when i got my last bike, i was on it here in arizona in 20 degree weather. i know thats not even close to -12, but i dont know how you have the willpower and patience! i would be like a 6 year old at christmas! anyways congrats on the new bike.

I was thinking about going to the dealer saturday,the temps are supposed to be a 'balmy' 25-35 degrees! several times last winter i took my sporty out in 0-30 degree weather.I dunno,now my 7yr old who doesnt say so mach as 'boo' says today, does that make you a 'girly-man' dad? lol! i'll have to fix that.
