J&S Jack question
Also, on the stops, you should have the long straight portion toward the stop holes on the bottom frame..
You may have to spin them all the way around, the short section should be up when engaged
You might even have to remove the hydrolic jack, so you can get the frame higher to spin them around.
im still attempting to get this thing workin.. My straights wont go anywhere near the holes.. ill see if i can grab a few pics
BTW, thanks for bringing my attention to the wheel stops. Never even took notice of them. All this time I've been putting a shim under the wheels

Heres a picture:

If so, stand 'behind' the jack. As if you are going to pump it up. As such, the part that goes 'under' the scoot will be "FRONT", make sense??
The safety arms should be IN FRONT of those 2 round pins welded onto the upper jack frame. IF they are 'behind' those 2 pins, 2 solutions.
Easiest to do, is hardest to describe.
But here goes. About in the middle of the jack, front to back, is a 'flat' cross brace. Grab that brace, and lift up. This will lift the arm up off the actual hydraulic bottle jack. Keep lifting (BE CAREFUL NOT TO PINCH YOUR FINGERS as things move.) as far as you can go. Those 2 little lcok arms, will drop off the back of the jack. At that point, you can maneuver them so that when you now start to put the jack frame back down, those 'lock arms' are on the other side (FRONT) of the pins welded on. If you did this part correctly, and THIS was your prob, those 2 li'l lockarms will rotate up and land on the FRONT of the pins.
Confused? If so, then take a wrench, remove those 2 nylok nuts that hold the lock arms on. Move them to the FRONT of the pins. Reinstall those nylok nuts, good to go.
AGAIN, this is provided it is the 'lock arms' being on the wrong (BACK) side of those pins.
They can get in that position if you lift the FRONT of the jack by hand. They fall off the back of the frame, and when you now let it down, VOILA, they are on the wrong side. It could have happened in shipping, at the plant when they were moving it, etc. Happens to me occassionally, like I said, when I grab the front of the jack, and lift by hand and go jus' a bit too far. NO HARM, no foul.
Good luck. Wouldn't trade my J&S's for ALL the jacks I have ever had, period.
IF you are still confussed, PM me, I'll give you my cell phone #, you can call me, I'll have one of my J&S's, and we can go thru it looking at one.
