Aint about lane hoggin' or lane splittin' , its about common courtesy .. Most I know will not pull alongside an unknown rider regardless

I would instinctively not pull up next to a rider I don't know. But if someone pulled up next to me, I'd just write it up as "public roadway." Pulling into your driveway was over the line, though.

I neither ride nor stop in the middle of a lane. And it ain't no invitation to share my lane.

Sorry man, that was me. I just noticed how you never took it out of first gear and at every corner slowed right down then duck walked it round the bend, and I was worried. I wanted to make sure you made it home safe .

Never said a single word about splitting and courtesy common or not has nothing to do with it. What you are talking about in terms of a rider pulling next to you has been common place in my experience for 45 years. If that slot is open or left open I would fully expect that other rider to fill that slot and I wouldn't care if it were a 60 year old grandma on her Vespa. This will be my 46th season and I don't see this type of activity changing at all.

I also don't like someone I don't know pulling up next to me..I don't know how you ride, and you don't know how I ride. Do one of us swerve a bit when we take off? In which direction?? Its my lane...STAY THE HELL OUT OF IT unless I invite you to share it.

And for Gods sake...and your own safety..NEVER pull up alongside and think you are gonna ride next to me...Gauranteed...you WON'T be there long.

I've never pulled up beside someone, however I don't mind if someone pulls up next to me as long as I'm stoped. Its happened a few times.

Wobble a bit, drift around in your lane -- that should shift them...
