32 degrees is ideal riding weather...or so it seems round here. Actually it is not that bad, with the proper equipment (jacket, gloves, helmet). I have found that I can tolerate anything down to about 20 degrees for a little while. With a 70 mile trip plan on a couple of legs of it, break it down, find somewhere to stop and warm up. On colder days I like to find a dealer or indy shop somewhere between my start and finish locations to stop in at and shoot the breeze.
I agree! Get out there and go for that ride.I ride about 12 miles to my dealership on Saturdays because alot of people just go there to hang out, eat free lunch, and watch TV or play pool. Occasionaly I make a few friends too. Hang in there it will be warm soon.
I guess you guys are trying to say... Grow a pair!!! Loud and clear.... I'll have some pics next week!
You guys are some tough SOB's
No, That is not what we were saying, but if you don't have any, then yes...lol. The point I was trying to make was to plan it where you could possibly ride about 20 miles, stop, warm up, and repeat until you got back home. make a day out of it, have fun, meet some new people, have more fun.

I stated I grew up on dirtbikes. I've owned a couple sportbikes...
I just purchased my first harley.. I finally have the funds to do so, else I'd have bypassed the Kawasaki's........ Actually at the time I was in college and thought they might pick up more tail... lol (young and dumb)
Anyway, I started this thread screaming because I can hardly stand the wait. I bought this bike from my wife's uncle (tricked '92 fatboy) He hasn't ridden the bike more than 2K since he bought it so he was getting it serviced for me before I picked it up this weekend!!!
Welllllll... The high in Oklahoma City this weekend is somewhere around 32 degrees (about 70 miles between our homes)... suck suck suck suck...
Sorry.. just needed to vent..... Maybe it will warm up next week... then again it could be march...
sucks
PS- I'm Travis. Glad to find this site. Seems AWESOME... Howdy from OKC!
Hey Travis, it's now Sat. morning here in OKC (Edmond). It's 24°, but the good news is...the sun is out! Bundle up ond go get the FB. I think I'm gonna go for a ride myself. See you on the road.
Congrats!!!! Yes, you can ride in freezing temps but it does kinda suck IMHO. Have done it but don't like it. I'd trailer it or load it up in the back of a truck and just get it home like JW said. However, the gauntlet has been thrown down by the guys to ride it home freezing temps or not. Looks like your nads have been called into question. LOL!!!
