Default Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I introduced myself a week or so ago in the new member forum.

I stated I grew up on dirtbikes. I've owned a couple sportbikes...

I just purchased my first harley.. I finally have the funds to do so, else I'd have bypassed the Kawasaki's........ Actually at the time I was in college and thought they might pick up more tail... lol (young and dumb)

Anyway, I started this thread screaming because I can hardly stand the wait. I bought this bike from my wife's uncle (tricked '92 fatboy) He hasn't ridden the bike more than 2K since he bought it so he was getting it serviced for me before I picked it up this weekend!!!

Welllllll... The high in Oklahoma City this weekend is somewhere around 32 degrees (about 70 miles between our homes)... suck suck suck suck...

Sorry.. just needed to vent..... Maybe it will warm up next week... then again it could be march...

sucks

PS- I'm Travis. Glad to find this site. Seems AWESOME... Howdy from OKC!

Won't be long now and you can really ride. Take it out when it's 32 and just spin it around the block. That will give you more of an itch.....

Oh hell yeah. Just be sure to get them tars warmed up before you start any kind of solid cornering. I was out at 27 a few days ago and had the place all to myself.

32 degrees is ideal riding weather...or so it seems round here. Actually it is not that bad, with the proper equipment (jacket, gloves, helmet). I have found that I can tolerate anything down to about 20 degrees for a little while. With a 70 mile trip plan on a couple of legs of it, break it down, find somewhere to stop and warm up. On colder days I like to find a dealer or indy shop somewhere between my start and finish locations to stop in at and shoot the breeze.
