Some say yes and some say no. I have V&H Shortshots, Fuel Pak, and VO2 intake on mine. I figured what's $250 extra when messing with the integrity and life of your motor.
I believe it does but if I'm not mistaken, changing the exhaust voids it as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
According to Harley it does void it, but if use use a quality dealer to install (like the one you bought the bike from) most of them will still honer your warranty.

That makes sense. Some dealers, like my own, have a sign in the shop stating they won't install parts unless you buy it from them. I have a hard time paying someone to do something I'm fully capable of doing myself. I just cross my fingers and hope I never need warranty work.
Warranty all depends on the dealer, mine said that if I install them myself they will honour the warranty as long as I didn't have the incorrect settings in the FP and it didn't malfunction and cause the damage/issue for the warranty claim.
Thanks for the feedback.....being a new Harley rider i didnt know the HD shop would install Vance & Hines exhaust. I just figured it had to be a Harley brand accessory like Screamin Eagle before they would do the work.
At my shop we install a lot more V&H then we do Screaming Eagles, please do yourself a favor though and install a Fuel-pak or SERT, otherwise you will lean an already lean bike out way to much. Personaly I am not a fan of the Power-Comanders, they work great, but seem to be a bit fragile for the long haul. All of my warranty issues with them have involved water damage, cracked boards, or cases. Their fix is to offer to sell the customer a new one for 100.00
If you want to get the most out of this change, add a better breathing air cleaner set up also, more output needs more input.
As for warranty, all I know is how we do it. If you bought it here, and we installed it, we will honor your warranty, we do suggest that you might want to keep the stock stuff in the case you ever have a situation that requires us having to get the MOCO involved, just to CYA.
