Black walls, Welsleys first to clean off earl and glunk. Then I use a rag with Son of a Gun on it to 'scrub' the walls with. But you have to apply it a few times for it to now 'shed' dust, etc. Initially it will make the rubber 'sticky'. Apply, let dry, THOROUGHLY. Repeat. BUT AVOID the tread.
Or you can try Tire Black, but IMFUO, that can look "cheesy' also.
Trust me, with a pan AND a shovel, I am well versed in cleaning back tires of earl and glunk. And we try really hard to have them "parade' ready, every week.
