I was just thinkin 'bout bein caught in 'em...but yeah, have outrun a few. A few years ago, me 'n a bud rode from Tucumcari, NM to somewhere just shy of Fort Smith, AR...storm on our **** all day. We'd run like hell down the highway...watchin it fall further behind...stop for gas...and by the time we were ready to roll again, it'd be catchin up with us. This 'tweren't no li'l rain storm either...one of dem dar big super cells...don't think it was so much chasin us, as it was just growin to encompass us...big nasty bugger. We had watched its pre-cursor roll thru from the porch of our cabin at the Tucumcari KOA the previous evenin...impressive sight.
