It was 45 degrees or so today. Still alot of snow on the ground but the roads were ok, not all dry but then, wtf, we been wet before. Got in a couple of nice hours and encountered a half dozen or so other riders, all of whom had Grey hair and/or beards. I guess as you get older you care less what others think of how you or your scooter looks. You just want to ride Yeah, there is some crud on the bike from the ride, but it'll wash off. I thank the good lord for today and hope for many tomorrows
Trouble is all dem new Bikers just think us ol greybeards are nuttin but Posers..
LOL ... I get alot of questions about my bandana on the forks... the old guys smile and tell me "great bike" and the rubs stare at me like I am an idiot for tieing a "rag" to my bike. I love it!
It didnt take me long to realize that if I wanted the bike to look and act like I wanted to I would either have to be rich or learn to do it myself with my old stick welder, home depot, and you guys! So far that method has worked out great for me. (by the way, If I wasnt in the Navy, I would have a beard too)
I thought this was a great thread until Da Gump chimed in, now I am afraid to close my eyes to sleep because of the images that might come to mind.... oh well sleep is over rared anyway.
