Also just bought a ram mount for Nuvi 660. Couldn't justify the expense of a new GPS for the bike when this one works fine. Haven't received the mount yet but based on others reviews it looks like the way to go to me.
What do you have to lose? If it sucks then you can buy a Zumo but why spend the big bucks if you don't have to?
I like getting lost but thought this would make sense on cross country trips so I would know when the exit is coming up if nothing else.
I bought the nuvi 760 but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I also bought this ram mount.
I have that mount on both rides & it works great. I use the stick on pad & a teather strap attached to my bars or mirror just in case it pops off. It hasn't yet.
The Zumo 550 price will be gettin' a lot more reasonable when the 660 model is released next month. The 450 is discontinued, so those left on the shelves, will be down around $300.
The extras on the 550, do spoil ya. MP3 player and bluetooth phone are nice. I'm not a phone affectionate person, but it's nice to know a call is coming in and who it's from. I just pull over and attend to the call, if I want. I don't have a helmet set up with a mike and earphones.
