It was really cool to read the responses to my situation. It definitely got me to see things from the other side. That being said mom came to me and said she was being an idiot ( her words), for being upset. She said that trust was never an issue and that she just felt that the bike was a personal thing that she and I shared between us and it was just strange for her to picture someone else sitting in "her" seat. I guess I see her point. She knows I would never break that trust between us. That is something once lost is never fully regained. Look, riding on my bike gives me an incredible high ( even after riding 30 yrs.) and having a different person on there holding onto you does put some thoughts into your head. I am guy and can't help the feeling of a strange woman (maybe we are all pigs as my wife says) being exciting. But it is how we act upon these thoughts that determines who we really are. Some live by the WWJD rule. I am not the most religious person however I live by the WWMKT (what would my kids think) rule. If at the end of the day at the dinner table I can tell my 9 and 11 year old everything Dad did that day and be proud I feel I have done the right thing. My wife read the entire thread and we both enjoyed the replies. Thanks and ride safe!
Well, I'm so glad all worked out well between you two. And see, this just strengthened your relationship because you both learned something, which is what a good marriage continues to do.
Gosh, I'm glad it worked out, we on the forum worked so hard on the replies!!
