I believe, but not positive, Ultima WAS made in America. They used to champion that in their sales pitch. (Midwest)
S&S is still in Sconi. Buy S&S, keeps those Cheeseheads occupied and off the streets. They can be a rowdy bunch on that side of the river, jus' sayin'.

As for your resale ?, guess that depends on the buyer. Some ppl won't bat an eyelash at buyin' it, others have a chit caniption.
I want another big inch bagger. As such, looking at EVO baggers, with tons of miles. Go to Jireh, buy an Ultima 120 (square motor) or the 127, and primary and tranny combo. Get the whole package, matched, and it's a bolt in, ready to run. 130+ hp and torque. We have had GREAT success with the Ultima El Bruto series. They also make 49 state EPA compliant motors, but have no working knowledge of said series.
You end up with a bagger that will eat most anything on the road, get GREAT gas mileage (the motor is idling at 75) and more importantly, it can git outta it's own way when it has ta. Buy the original chassis bike for less than 8 or so (some are hitting that less than 6 mark, regularly), you'll have less than 20 in a scoot that will Rock Yur Socks!!!!
How else could you go out on Friday nite, street race a couple 'rocketeers', and BEAT 'em. Then load Momma on there Sat morn, and ride in total comfort for 70 miles, have a nice breakfast and them pull the 2 of ya up hill, down hill, along the North Shore of Superior.
Resale value? Who cares, I'm building it for ME. If someone wants it, they can pay for it. If not, ride a 'pooch'. OR build one.
It's a scooter, for Heaven's sake.

Want an investment, buy on Wall St.
Uhh, on second thought, buy a Rev Tech motor. You AT LEAST have the POSSIBILITY of a return on yur 'vestment.
PLUS the "ride" is a LOT mo' fun.

1/2 o' me is pizzed, and 1/2 o' me is ecstatic. S&S bought out Flathead Power. I was sorta glad to see Flathead Power, GREAT ol' school motors, built with modern metal technology and machining. Heck, they even made a 124" Knucklehead. BUT I have been skrimping, saving, scrounging, for eons it seems, to pull these ol' parts together, and all of a sudden, VOILA, the guy 'crossed the street shows up, on a brand NEW '47 Knuck.
WTF, Chuck?? IT AIN'T FAIR!!!!! Bwahahahaha
