Blips, or Bond Linked Investment Premium Strategy, is a type of tax shelter. Never valid in the eyes of the Internal Revenue Service, Blips was one of four abusive tax shelters that the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in 2003 found that KPMG had sold to at least 350 people from 1997 to 2001, earning fees of $124 million. Those shelters cost the Treasury at least $1.4 billion in unpaid taxes, according to the subcommittee. In the investigation, KPMG argued that investors knew they were taking a risk that the I.R.S. might not accept the claims.

Thanks

Down shifting I would say is somewhat purpose driven RPM matching, I hate the back tire skiding makes me pucker everytime. As for the stopped at a light, first reason is when some little kids are waving and smiling I do it for them and even their parents smile and laugh, the other reason is sometimes I get so freakin bored sitting at a long light it is something fun to do.............
Now for my soap box - blipping during a downshift not distracting or dangerous and wont cause accidents, blipping at a traffic light not distracting or dangerous and wont cause accidents, NOW HOWEVER, boom boom stereos running down the road with some homies reclining the seat back so far they can barely see while feeling up their chiquita - very distracting, very dangerous and causes many accidents and unfortunately to those around them as they drive away in the same oblivous state they started in, talking on cell phones, reading the newspaper, putting on make up etc. etc. etc. i think you get my point here..............................lets quit the bitchin about a bunch of overwieght, middle aged boys that cant grow and get their yahoos listening to their vroomie pipes (which we are so out numbered on the road by the prevously mentioned offenders) and start worrying about what really matters the freakin nut jobs driving their cars out there paying absolutly zero attention to driving except for whne that big mean old motorcycle goes vroooooooom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ride therefore I blip.

I blip when:

My wife is relaxed on the back. Wakes her up. Makes me laugh.

A car next to me, has not acknowledge that I'm there.

Kids in the car next to me are going nutz over the bike.

When riding next to a metric.

Right before the light I'm at is about to turn green. I don’t want to stall. Looks foolish.

Whenever the mood strikes me.

So, I really am an uninhibited blipper. Except when in my neighborhood (most of the time) and around LEO's.

I do it as often as I can because I like to.

Sometimes just going down the road , I will pull my clutch in and blip a little, just for the hell of it.

Do you really love a loud exhaust? Well then, you have to listen to this…
It takes a minute to load, but really worth it.
