Rinehart and Python are owned by Drag Specialties (LeMans Corp) and have recently instituted policies that prevent shop owners from displaying anything but MSRPs on their products. Online stores that sell these goods are also not allowed to show any discounts on their sites, even in customer shopping carts. One must contact the online store via phone or a related site to learn of the discounts.
I won't do business, if at all possible, with companies such as these. If I find I must do business with them I will voice my displeasure with their anti-competitive policies. As my buddy from work says, "Strew 'em!"

if your a dealer, its good news keeps the large parts places from cuttin the little guys ***. besides they usually say "call for price" not really a big deal.
It does show a certain kind of contempt for their customers. I always shop around for a good deal (can't afford not to ), and if I don't SEE competitive prices, I don't ask, I go somewhere else.
Living out in the boondocks, it does not affect me too much: not an aftermarket place within 70mi. So I mostly let my fingers do the walking to find what I need. Thank The Lord for ebay.com.
