I've been riding for eight years and feel fairly competent, but I will take the MSF course as soon as time and funds allow. I know I have picked up some bad habits along the way and I need an impartial observer to help me recognize my deficiencies. My friend took the course, bought a crotch rocket, and three days later he was in the weeds (not seriously hurt thank God) but I think your attitude going in is very important. He looked at the course as a quick ticket to a cycle endorsement. Thankfully, he lived to learn from his mistake.

I took the course 4 yrs ago, after 35+ yrs of riding. Momma didn't want to go by herself, so I went along as 'support'. (Least ways, that's what I tell EVERYBODY)
We took it in April, temps were in the 30's, and on Sunday, the instr. had to stop the riders 2 or 3 times, because it was snowing so hard, it was a white out. I thought for sure, she would 'bail', but she didn't.
As posted, IF you have been riding for a while, you'll be surprised at the 'bad habits' you have accumulated over the years. AT LEAST I was.

NOW, the 'real reason' I took the course?? Riding for almost 40 yrs, you guessed it, NEVER had an MC endorsement on my license, EVER. Been stopped by LEOs, been thrown in the pokey for concealed weapon (WAY BACK in the day ), been pulled over to check 'sobriety'. Guess they just figured, an old fart like me, been at it that long, MUST BE LICENSED. But at 52, I FINALLY got 'legal'.

I took the Riders Edge course. Learned a lot, and had fun doing it. Well worth the money, and cheap considering the cost of a bike.

Not following you. I mean the cost of the class is cheap, considering how much you will spend when you buy a bike.

How many questions and how many did you need to pass?
