My son and I were in my truck yesterday, traveling along a hiway that follows the shore of a small lake...its kinda twisty but not extremely so...speed limit is 45mph...we were within a couple MPH either direction of the limit...a couple of 'rocketeers' came up behind us and ,while entering a fairly steep curve, one of them, with a passenger 'perched' on the back, zipped past us on a double yellow and missed the frontend of my truck by about six inches...the other bike stayed behind....about a mile up the road, there sits the idiot,WTF?...damned near killed himself so he could pull over and watch me drive by?.....I also do quite a bit of pleasure boating and place the majority of sportbike riders in the same category as the majority of jetski riders...nothing but a friggin nuisance!!!
Thinking about this a little more, I believe the most stupid thing I saw was 400 to 500 thousand bikers trying to be individuals but all looking exactly alike.
Ok so here we go...don't mean to try to 1 up anyone but I live in the Bay Area of California and some of the guys on the forum can post theirs too...This is truely the land of fruits & Nuts...I have seen the following and I am sure I have more I just can't recall right now...
Mini cooper splitting lanes
Man playing the trumpet while driving...sheet music and all
Man with a clown nose sitting in traffic wearing a suit
People reading books at full speed while bump drafting
2 guys playing cards on the center console while at full speed
Lady breastfeeding a kid that ooked at least 4 or 5 while driving
guy on a ultra classic sitting in the back seat with the cruise on riding no hands and cranking the stereo...so amazed that I tried it on the RK...LOL
That's some good stuff. I pass a guy almost every morning on the way to work. Every morning he's going between 45 and 80 (speed limit is 65), I don't know how he has it attached, but he has a PSP on the center of the steering wheel and is feverishly pushing buttons playing a game.
By law, the speed limit is just that. It posts the MAX. speed allowed. It is lawfull to go under the speed limit, not over. your the bad one. just sayin...
Incorrect. It is against the law to go below the speed limit if you are impeding the flow of traffic...
I saw a guy get off of his bike in Laguna Beach, Ca. at a gas station and hang his helmet on the handgrip. His ponytail was hanging from the helmet......

They actually had to make texting against the law as it was so bad here in Cali...hey Cali guys, post some of what you have seen...Heck Dennyo you moved form the bay area up to the hills to get away from this stuff, no?
Here's mine...stupid and frustrating. I was riding down the freeway doing about 70 and noticed in my mirror 2 bikes coming up on me fast. It ended up being 2 sportbikes and they split me in my lane.
