The girl and I took a couple of good rides yesterday, enjoying the almost 80 degree weather. Beautiful day, the new Fat Boy runs like a champ. The girl really likes the riding position compared to the old sporty, and loves the ride quality.
On to the stupidity.
Saw a guy on a sportbike, on the interstate, riding a wheelie! Are you serious??
Saw a guy, on what appeared to be a Dyna model of some sort. I only saw him from behind. He could barely control the bike, which I why I stayed behind him. All over the road, couldn't maintain lane position. When he would go to stop he drug his boots for at least 100 ft before the stop, and another hundred feet after he got started again. Make matters worse, he was carrying a passenger.
Saw a group of sportbike riders that gave the saying "ride it like you stole it" a whole new meaning. In a changing 45-55 mph zone, they have to be doing 100+.
All the morons are coming out of the woodwork. I got stuck behind a group of 6 Harley's doing about 60 mph in the left lane of I95. Riding along holding up traffic and of course they had no helmets on. I guess that was as fast as they could take the wind, since they had no gear on. Except for the obligatory pirate outfit. I finally got around them, thanks to a slight bit of lane splitting their group. Hasn't anyone ever heard of "Slower Traffic Keep Right"
Well, like you, saw a group of crotch rockets, about 7 of them and one of the guys in the middle of the group was pulling a wheelie at about 45 mph..
Another time, saw a guy completely stretched out out, lying on his back, feet up, no hands, heading down the freeway at the speed of traffic - one other time, same thing, heading down the freeway, guy on a crotch rocket, lying flat on his stomach, completly stretched out and passed me - I was going 70 - It's those times were you wonder, did I really see what I just saw???
I saw a guy on a goldwing talking on his cell phone while doing about 60 in the left lane.. I'm surprised goldwings dont have Bluetooth..DMV should teach "slower vehicles keep right"

Saw a group of sport bikes heading north as I was going south and they were going real fast, passing in and out of the traffic and I thought that was a good way to get whacked. About 15 seconds later I saw two state police cars follwing them and wished I was going their was to see the outcome when the cops caught up with the bikes. Must have been interesting and expensive for the bikers.

Saw a piece in the local paper asking people who leo's had pulled over for this, the main response was; I pay taxes like everyone else & I'll ride where the f*ck I want to!
While on the sportbike and trying to run Cemetary Road (55mph) from Bowling Green to Scottsville (about 25 miles of sweet twisties and elevation changes) I encountered a group of 9 Harleys that had traffic stacked up 6 cages deep. These folks were cruising at 40-45mph and when the yellow signs came up on the east end of the run where it suggests 25mph for the turns they weren't even making that. So, we got to a straight-away that is roughly 1/8th mile long in a rolling dip and I took out all 15 of the cages and bikes in front of me. After getting back into my lane before the solid line came back up I slowed down from 127mph and continued to cruise at the 55mph speed limit to the intersection at Smith's Grove. I guess I covered both sides of this in that they got to see a flash go by and I saw 9 idiots blocking all sorts of other vehicles.

Thinking about this a little more, I believe the most stupid thing I saw was 400 to 500 thousand bikers trying to be individuals but all looking exactly alike.
I saw two people in a cage weaving all over two lanes. When it was my turn to pass I saw they had a buffet of food on the dashboard and were busy eating.
