Akron, OH expressway.... 5:30PM rush hour traffic. An old beat out Chevy Monte Carlo, small tv on the dash playing away. Driver doing 40mph weaving back and forth in his lane.
As I passed I noticed he was eating popcorn! True mouth breater.
It is clear that Darwinism does not really work because there are just too many out there that are really too stupid to live. Oxygen thieves.
I used to live in Los Angeles and my personal favorite from the LA freeways (I have seen the readers, etc.) was two twenty-something girls in traffic on the 405 one morning. The passenger was turned around facing the driver, practically in her lap, and was applying the driver's makeup for her while the driver looked over the passenger's shoulder to drive. Somebody definitely pissed in that gene pool.
When going to work one morning i was in the Far left lane going down West bound 580 and had been traveling next to a lady in a small car and was sure that she had to have known i was there, as i had been there for quite a few miles, well i guess not. As my front wheel is about even with her door handle she decides she wants my lane, no signal, no mirror check, just starts to move over so i rolled real hard to get up where she could see me and she looked over at me and flipped ME off? so i reached out and hit her mirror down and it hung there from a wire as I took off. They say you don't know what you had till its gone, maybe she uses her mirror now.
First why are you staying in the left lane? Second why would you sit next to anyone for long at all. All vehicles have blindspots. You sit there you deserve to be squished. She probably flipped you off cause she was tired of you sitting next to her with your pipes blasting away.
While taking the wife out to eat, an idiot made a left turn into two crowded lanes and proceeded to cuss US out for nearly hitting him, meanwhile the fellow in the cross road had to lay on his horn cause this same idiot was so busy telling us off, he came within a fraction of an inch of hitting him. It must be great to be the owner of the roads.
Only 56 posts? This should be our biggest thread as we have all seen somethign stupid. Maybe we shoudl throw amazing in the title as it sometimes goes along with stupid...my buddy and I were in the cage coming from a meeting and saw a sport bike doing a wheelie...not too amazing until 5 miles later he was still in the wheelie...the kid was good...
I have seen stupid things in parkign lots too...was at a friends metal shop when this chick pulled in on one of those Valcury (spelling?) bikes, thought she was kewl and tried to do a burn out...the bike hooked up and took off on 1 wheel...it was sweet as the bike left a huge dent in the side of the butler building...LOL...she wasn't hurt so it's so freakin funny...
I don't know that I have ever been out riding or driving without seeing something stupid. I've watched 2 rockets crash in front of me. Lots of them have sped past me scaring the beejeebers out of me. I like to give them all the room they want to kill themselves. I just really hate it when I have no warning they are coming and wiz by me like that.
Someone here some months ago told a story about passing a truck, then feeling this mist, looking over and it was an open pig truck, he was gettin pissed on. That was really funny. Prob not for him, but that's the funniest I've read.
I was in my car and rear ended by a woman on a cell phone, smoking a cig, drunk on her ***.
Last weekend we were riding around a lake. I can't do big bridges. Vertigo, anxiety. A fear I'd like to conquer but have not yet. Anyway we go around a corner, then I see it. OM is ahead of me and keeps on truckin! I start to slow down and get off the side of the road, but apparently I wasn't getting off the side fast enough, these kids in a jeep were honking their horn at me. They must have been from Phoenix, because people will not even wait one HALF of a second before they start blowing their horn at you. So I'm thinking...ok ok, give me a second to pull over here, but they honked one too many times, and then I was pissed. So I slammed on the front brake, slammed the kickstand down, and started getting off the bike, when they sped past me. Two bikers immediately pulled up behind me and were ready to go to town with me!!! They were so pissed off at what they saw they stopped traffic so I could turn around to wait for the OM. Why can't people wait or be patient anymore? Why don't people realize they are NOT alone on the highways. No respect at all.
I remember riding in the 70's, 80's - everyone was pretty respectful and of course there was not NEAR the traffic there is now, it was much more pleasant riding. Now I am always, every single second looking for that crazy person. Tense riding. That's why I get off onto the back roads as much as possible. HATE the freeways.
