The Heritage comes nicely equipped for two-up travel--ie, saddle bags, windshield, passenger backrest. The Electra Glide Standard and Road King are nice mounts, too, but you'll have to add a backrest.

From personal experience:
Don't "settle" for one bike, just because you didn't want to spend enough to get the one you really wanted!

It's a lot more expensive doing it that way.

We all have our opinions, thats what makes this world so grande. However, mine lies with the Road King. It has the touring frame and new upgrades, but you can take the windshield off for a cool ride when its scortchin! Plus the RK has the Chrome motor for the same price as the gray motor on the Standard.

Go with what you like bro. You'll have a ball either way.

What do you guys think of my pick? any help you can give is great. Thanks

Git on the mailing list with all the dealers around you and look for Demo day and test drive all the bikes. Take yer wife with you if she rides very much. Because you know that yer going to be hearing her if she is uncomfortable.
How tall you are, how long you've been riding and what yer lookin for in a bike and how much you are able to spend.
I went with a Electra Glide Standard for the price and I got a nice seat and floorboards for the old lady who goes about everywhere with me.
Her comfort made a lot of the decesion for me. I like hard saddlebags. Since I've gotten a tour pank and vented lowers. I use them in the fall threw the spring packin clothes and jackets and stuff. It makes it easier when you buy something you can bring it back too. Both are quick release.
And if you go on a trip you can carry more.
If I had of wanted to spend 2500 more I would of gotten a Electra Glide Classic. Didn't have the extra money at the time.
But the Electra glide is the best riding bike Harley makes.
And if you ever git used to a fairing vers a windshield you will understand what I'm sayin.
got a buddy that owns a 07 Heritage and a 08 Electra Glide Ultra, He rides the Electraglide more than the Heritage because the EG rides better.

But bottom line, you need to demo ride the bike and then go rent one for a day.

Take yer time and don't git in a hurry.
Dealers demo bikes at different dates too. You can demo bikes more than one time for Free.
This is a great thing Harley does to try and make their customers happy and let them learn more about how their bikes rides.

Sportys are incredible, but they have their limitations.

Anyway, congrats. I think it was a great choice!
