If you would point your exhaust forward they might could hear you better.
I saw a t-shirt that I should have bought it said, "If loud pipes save lives, just imagine what learning how to ride that thing would do for you?"
I believe I know how to ride (35 yrs.). You can train yourself until your blue in the face, but you can't train every oblivious cage driver yacking on a cell phone. Horns are installed at the factory (cars, trucks, bikes) to alert other drivers of your presence, so you can't convince me that loud pipes don't also make people aware of your presence.
They make people aware of your presence alright! Why do you think so many people are complaining about them these days. And, if you are depending on lights, horns, or loud pipes to save your life you're in trouble. The only thing that's going to save you is your brain and riding skills.
Just ask anyone who drives an emergency vehicle how many people don't hear or see them with lights, siren, and horns blazing.
Well I think what he did was " Brilliant", He took an Immediate Pro Active Approach to avoiding an accident by letting the errant driver know where he was and that she was about to invade his travel area and would "Ultimately" have to take "Evasive" Action to avoid a collision. "Good Job" and "Good Safe Riding". Take a lesson Certainteed
It was a rude comment, intended to be rude, therefore, I asked. I just thought I would point it out to you. I will not, debate your attitude, I just did not think it was called for. IF you can justify being rude then go ahead or just say I am a rude B*s*a*d. It does not impact my life either way. More or less, just saying relax and enjoy the conversation.

I don't depend on any one of those to save my life, they are all merely tools in the arsenal.

Loud pipes do get cagers attention I've used my pipes to warn people of my presence instead of my horn many times and I've seen many heads snap around and look at me astonished after seeing me. And By the way I am a very defensive driver I use my pipes before I get into a "spot" they are just another tool to use to keep me safe on the road.

Blind spots are blind spots.
I won't hesitate to blast someone with my horn or a blast with my pipes....they don't like it? Stay the f@ck out of my lane!
