Take all of the short cuts you want. I tried my best to eliminate all of the Negatives of bike owning when I bought a new bike. One of the things on my list was a "signal sorcerer" Had the bike 4 months without one and had the same trouble with lights that I had always had. Read all of these frickin' posts and talked to several LEOs about my options at stuck lights. Running them was an option, but due to past experiences I am very trepidatious about attracting any attention from the LEOs. Put a "signal sorcerer" on my christmas list as a must have item and santa claus brought it. You can't get any cheaper than that. Now lights that used to never change in the middle of the night, begin to change as I am pulling up to them. I will say that with some lights using the stratagy of stopping on the left side of the wire loop seems to make a difference even with the magnet. However, it did not seem to make a difference before I got the magnet.
