Go to home depot and buy some painters latex rubber gloves. Thin enough to not get in the way of feel. Stops the wind and when you're done with them they're cheap enough to throw away. Just wear your summer gloves over them.
I ride with deerskin gloves from Fox Creek. I have the gauntlets for winter and the riding gloves for warmer weather. Not cheap, but excellent gloves IMO.
Some that aren't bulky or sacrafice feel. More or less something that the dam wind doesn't blow right through.
I have a $10 pair from the grocery store that are just as good an any other I have tried. The only gloves that will truly keep your hands warm are electric heated. Any temp between 45 and 60, I wear the $10 ones that do just fine. I've wasted a lot of money on expensive leather that turned out to be no better than the cheap ones.
I went to a local leather goods shop and got a pair of thin leather gloves. They are good for cool weather but I also bought a pair of Under Armour thinsulate gloves to wear under the leather for extreme cold weather riding. Works nice in 20's degree weather.
