The spots made me think of a Police bike . But I can't tell if they are different colors , or maybe just smoked . My brother once told me it was purple in color . The lower half of the windshield was lightly tinted close to same color too . And those are air vents on the windshield . The front fender trim was an Eagle , with it's wings spread open , and wrapped around the sides . It's eyes were small lights , and they apear to be on in my original picture too .

Can't help you ID the bike, but in the background right looks like a '56 Ford Fairlane.

Not quite right . The left side of photo is a 62 Studebaker Lark . The right side has my brother and I stumped a little . He says it was a 50 Plymouth . I thought it was moms 60 Dodge wagon . but the Dodge might have been behind the Plymouth and not in the picture there . Mom and dad never had a Ford Fairlane at all .

Certainly NOT a Duo Glide. The bike in the photo has a springer front end. The Duos had hydraulic shocks, like most modern bikes. So that bike predates anything before the Hydraglide FL's.

This get's two votes. His and Mine. It's got a springer, even tho it is almost impossible to see clearly, the headlight is a dead give away.
The 'wheel cover' (Note the front wheel looks solid) has me baffled. IT is a guess, but I do not believe those were available back then. BUT I got divorced along the line, so you KNOW I was WRONG at least one other time. Someone easily could have installed them on an older scoot, just like we do to ours. AGAIN, that's a GUESS.

The eagle fender tips, IF they are 'original' to THAT scoot, were available from 34-48. BUT remember, MY memory iz failing, YES,it iz photographic, but it iz so oldt, they don't make film for it any longer.

BTW - last springers, 48. Also, first year pan. Note, that's when the eagles stopped. Well, at least the ones, you described. Altho the rear fender, continued to 57, last hardtail, the front changed with the Hydra
Glide, 49.

DEMOCRACY = 2 Wolves and a Sheep, voting on what to have for lunch.
LIBERTY = A WELL armed Sheep, contesting the vote.

Looking in my copy of Harley Davidson "Design and Development" I found what appears to be the same model. It would possibly be a 1947 WL. It had the eagle trim on valanced front fender, side shift, 45 c.i. flathead side valve engine. I think the windshield on your bike's picture is from the late 30's for some reason. If it were a 61 c.i., it could date back to 1936 61 EL Knucklehead. Some basic configuration. Hard to know for certain.
