Hell women riding Harleys is hot..the more the merrier...especially when they ride the bigger bikes....seen some women who could ride better than alot of guys...myself included...guys are dads aren't they...women are moms...
typically women DO rider better for a couple of reasons
1. they are not as concerned about "being cool" and tend to ride safer with more appropriate gear
2. women are less likely to hot rod or try a stupid human trick. women are more practical and tend to think with their heads. men are more likely to think with their b*lls.
3. frankly women tend to have a better sense of balance and are less likely to monkeygrip the throttle and are better at "lighter touches" that are sometimes needed on a bike in traffic
All the marketing dollars spent on the "man's bike, edgey, tough-guy" image are slowly going down the drain. When guys aren't buying chicksters....errr....sportsters, because they are girls bikes, will this spill over to the other bikes? As the article stated, the customers buying Harley's are "old guys" and now HD is trying to sell their bikes to Mom's. Younger people don't want Cadillacs because "old guys" drive them, will HD''s be old guys and Mom's bikes? Problem is a long term issue for HD.

Hey, Thanks for the mirror idea! And you're right...the saddlebags are perfect for holding my purse...lipstick goes in windshield bag...you forgot the luggage rack...perfect for any shopping bags that don't fit in the saddlebags...gotta love that bungie net!
I'm not a MOM, but here's a pic of my friend who is...has a 28 and 27 year old (no one can believe it) and rides that Fatty like she stole it!
I see a fair number of gals riding Harley baggers around here. I see more ladies on Harleys than on crotch rockets but that may be because the cr riders usually have on full face helmets and it is difficult to tell male from female on those bikes.
Wife rides with our 27 year old son all the time. He loves the reactions his friends give him. They think he as the coolest mom of all. I like the reaction, too. As she says some men are envious as hell and there are some woman who hate it, but alot like it.

It's a smart move. Why not market to a group of people that have higher than normal credit scores and handle most of the household finances? Harley needs to target as many people as they can.
I personally do not see Harleys ever going out of style. They are simply beautiful pieces of machinery. I think it's brilliant of the MotorCo not to overlook women as riders in their marketing and not relegate us to just ornamentation on the back of some guy's ride.
