Default Shameless Plug ...

for Direct Parts and Rivera/Primo Belt Drives. I bought an enclosed drive for my '87 Sloptail 6 months ago. Because of various circumstances I am now finally installing it. I was temporarily fitting the front sprocket and clutch hub to check for belt clearance and couldn't get the clutch hub on. When I turned it over I discovered something I should've noticed 6 months ago - the hub is splined and for a '90 & later tranny, instead of tapered. I posted on here to make sure mine was s'posed to be a tapered shaft as I've found many little strange modifications to this bike since I bought it used.

I called Direct Parts and talked to Sam, who got me in touch with Mike at Primo. Mike said no problem, we sent the wrong hub, and we'll swap it out and make it right. After 6 months, I thought that was pretty cool.
