I got interested in Harley Davidsons over the winter. Back then I didn't know the models or the names of the bikes. Had no idea what to look for on a bike either. (I still don;t have all those model letters like fxst, flst.memorized yet). But after going to a couple Harley dealerships talking to the sales person and looking at the catalog, I've started to learn more. A couple months ago I was too scared to even think of riding a bike. Now that I'm getting more familer with the bikes, I'm more comfortable at the thought of riding one. One of the sales person had me sit on some bikes. It felt great being on the bike. Yesterday I was at the dealership looking at a deuce and I was picturing myself going down the open road on it. When it comes to the style of bike I'm the type of guy who thinks less is more. I like the Dyna Suoer Glide, or a Softail Deuce. Perfer the chrome engines over the powder coated engines too. With it getting warmer out people are getting their Harleys out. So I hear the popping of the engines now, and the sound does something for me.
Well I thought i would share how my attitude and interest toward motorcycles has changed over the past couple months. I'm at the point to were I wish I had a Harley.
That's just how it happens. On a nice August day last summer a buddy asked me to take his Road King Custom for a spin...a request he'd made a couple times before. For some reason I took him up on it that day and it was the match that lit the kindling. Within 3 days I had a roaring fire within me...burning for a Harley! And 6 months later............................................. .................................................. ................................
for years i didnt like them, especially the noise, then one day i pinstriped a sporty in my sign shop. i thought it looked cool i sat on it and it fit me well. that was about 2 years ago i now got 2 of them, thinking about a 3rd. excessive compulsive......not me!
A guy I use to work with came riding in on a new Dyna Wide Glide, man did that thing shine and the sound was awesome, it shook me up a bit then my best freind started talking about one, that's when I started going to the dealership's and just looking until one sunday when I rode the Dyna, a Heritage and a Sporty all in one day,[sm=drooldude.gif] it was over after that, so I am riding a Heritage and loving it,C'mon you know you want to.
