Great, I have a dent in my tank. It's shallow, maybe 3 inches in diameter, on the side. Can the guys that take out dents in auto sheet metal do the same thing on cycle tanks?
never had them do a tank, but they did a dent in my old car once. they have a large assortment of tools, and as long as they can get to the dent, they should be able to fix it. it's always worth a call. most around here do free estimates.

My son had a small dent in his sportster tank and was told that they couldn't get behind it and the other problem was the fact the the tank sheet metal is a lot thicker than a car. If you have a tank with internal fuel pump they migtht be able to help you out. It is certainly worth asking. I've also heard of tricks by body guys using heat and cold to pop out small dents.
if it is real small , yes they can. I saw a guy dry ice a very small dent out of a softail tank, didn't even F up the paint. It was a little dent though.
my friend had his 2003 heritage tank done by dent wizzard. you have to remove the tank. he goes through the middle where the guts are located. tons of room for him to work on. depending on the ding or dent $75 to $150. beets $500-$750 for a new one
Hell yes. A good PDR guy can do anything. The deal with tanks is you'll need to remove it and they (PDR) have to have a way to hold it steady. Pushing dents requires a lot of leverage. Call around & find someone who has experience w/ tanks.
My PDR guy had a buck welded up to hold the tank. I offered but he didn't charge me for doing that. Finally, he had to enter through the petcock hole if you can believe that on a left side lower dent that had a slight crease.
Cost: $100.00 & worth every red cent.
Depending where the dent is at, the tank will most likely need to be emptied and removed. Google NAPDRT to find out if there is someone more qualified then the Wiz.
