I just got my Fulmer V2 helmet today in Bobber Green (metal flake green). The color is awesome! The metal flake colors really sparkle, the people working at the store that I ordered it from were all like "wow!" when it came out of the box.
In terms of fit, really nice. I took my first ride with it on and it is light IMO, and fits real comfy. Not too bobble head looking either (as much as a DOT helmet can get). I would recommend it 100% personally. I would say get the accessory bubble shield, looks like a space helmet with it!!
Total old school!!!
Sweet! I get lots of comments - good and bad, but it does get a reaction. I'm thinking of adding the green or purple flake to my growing stable of lids.
I wear a HJC FS-10 Fossil Helmet MC-5, I got it from Helmetcity.com, with free 2 day shipping. I like the fact that it has the drop down sun visor built in to it. The price is right also, $179.
I really think the Scorpion helmets are a great value. I've had an EXO-700 for two seasons now and really like it. Probably the best value on the market. Great airflow, so it's not a cold weather lid, but fantastic for summer use.
I've owned HJC helmets before, they're good helmets for the money. Not as nice as a Shoei or an Arai but way more reasonably priced. Now I have a Scorpion EXO400 also a really nice full face for the money it has plenty of ventilation, no fog breath gaurd and is available in matte black.
I ordered a biltwell in matte black. Can't wait for it to get it! Im anxious to see how it really fits. I did try a fulmer in XL (I'm normally a L or XL) and it was a pretty tight fit. Kinda squeezed my head. It didn't look to bad, but just not what I was hoping for. Still kinda made my head look a little big.
I have a Biltwell matte black and I love it. I sent it down to French Kiss Kustoms in Deltona, Fl and they worked their Goldflake magic on it. They do amazing work is you want something custom.
Depending on your head shape.... Shoei or Arai! I had an HJC.... ended up a passenger helmet, poor ventilation. Fit was ok till the miles piled up... then got to be uncomfortable.
You definitely get what you pay for.

I have an HD flip face that went the same way for me, just not enough ventilation for muggy DC summers, never had a passenger complain about it though.
