Amen to that! I ride to/from work all year around. It's an hour each way from the high-desert mountains of San Diego county down into the city. Then at the end of the day it's back up into the mountains to get home - 135 miles a day. Elevation ranges from Sea Level to 4200' and a good portion of the trip is scenic and sparse traffic so it's a wonderful commute all in all.

This commute is my Therapy and I enjoy it immensely. The bike makes it fun and far too often I realize I'm grinning for no apparent reason...

I used to think my pickup was necessary for me to work... Now I'm thinking of selling the truck...

Wow, I spent a winter at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, if you ride everyday you are a much hardier soul then I am, .

I use heated gear and rain gear. Tomorrow the boss is send down to Wash DC to drop something off. It's a 100 mile round trip. But this winter in 10 deg it was still a nice ride with the heated jacket.
