Default touch up paint

can you get touch up paint for HDs like you can for autos

didn't see any on the HD site.

don't ask how this deep scratch happens to be on the gas tank.

and if you can get paint, does anyone have experience on a good way to apply it so it is more unnoticeable.

and if you can't get any, then any suggestions on another way to deal with a deep scratch.

Dealers carry it. As with all things HD, it's more expensive than you'd pay for car touch-up paint.

Just picked up the Vivid Black touch up paint kit...$22. Two tiny bottles; one black, one clear.

Ouch!

Try this- https://www.colorrite.com/index.php

I got my Crimson Red Sunglo and Candy Red Sunglo from them. They offer paint sticks, small bottles, rattle cans and quarts. Reasonable prices and perfect match.

Yes, the dealer can get a touch up kit. Or you could get larger pint/quart/etc sizes of the paint from a local paint supplier too, if you find out the paint code. The paint is a PPG paint just like on most of the auto's, and can be mixed by an auto paint supply store to match just like an auto paint.
