Watch for ruts in the black top from where heavy buses and trucks have pushed it up. It was the first thing that almost got me.

Manhole covers and trench plates are extremely slippery when damp and/or wet.

Make sure that you know where your wife is before you take your girlfriend for a ride (on the bike), and also for a ride in general.

When you pull up to a stop light and there is a convertible full of hotties, make sure you are in neutral BEFORE releasing the clutch to make the “Show Me Your ****” maneuver!

You got that right...!!! Took my gf to Calif. from Wash. bout 2 years ago. Knew where wife was and she knew where I was, just didn`t know I was with someone. She found out before I got home 11 days later. Now that was a memorable homecoming...

Along those lines, Don't get drunk and invite your wife AND GF to the same event! Unless they are into that stuff, then DON"T FORGET to bring your camera!

As are painted lines and crosswalks.

Do not follow tractors too closely this time of year - those clods coming off the tires can knock you out.

Keep an eye on the beds of pickups to see if anything is blowing around that can come out at you.
