I have two Harley mesh jackets, not the one or model your talking about but they work great in hot weather, I always ride with a jacket and in the summer months my mesh jackets get a work out.

I really like the new HD Hi Vis orange mesh jacket that I just purchased.

Ride Safe,

Got one of the older mesh jackets HD used to sell - works fine.

Might want to look at the Switchback also. Have used it on 90+ days to go to work, then put the panels in for the ride home. Nice jacket for the 30-40* temp swings on some days. Got it on sale at Dudley Perkins for $215.

I don't have the Harley mesh but I did buy the Tourmaster Air Intake. I like it a lot.
Bought my wife one as well. They come with two liners..one quilted, one just nylon or, wear without either for full air intake. Paid $160 for each. Also have the Transition 2 by tourmaster. Very warm for the late Fall/Winter/Early Spring. Also about $160.

I have one from last summer with the elbow and shoulder pads. It's great on hot days. Keeps the sun off of me and the air flowing. I read from someone else on here that it's actually more comfortable than a just a t-shirt on a hot day... they were right!

I also have an older HD mesh...not sure what they called it. I use it all the time in the summer because it keeps the sun off and is comfortable.

I bought a ladies' Harley mesh jacket because my skin just can't take the beating down Summer sun.
I discovered that on the hottest days, I can soak a tee shirt in water & wear it under the jacket.
The breeze blowing through is wonderful! The jacket keeps it from evaporating immediately.
If it gets warm I just stop somewhere & wet it again.

I got a white one with pink trim so it would be cooler but the white gets dirty quick.
The best part is, you can just throw it in the wash!

I have a Joe Rocket Phoenix 5 mesh jacket. White/Black/Silver. Other than sitting at a stop light baking in traffic, it's actually cooler than riding in a t-shirt. It traps just enough moisture to cool you through evaporation without trapping so much that you're drenched when you stop.

I live in Vegas, and it has been near 100F most of the week (I ride every day). The thermometer on the Expedition said 105F on the way back from picking up dog food this evening around 5:30pm.

I wear a light weight mesh jacket in the summer here in Fla. It seems to help some but you can't fool mother nature. It would probably take a space suit to keep cool.

It is what it is.
