Now for the second part of the matter.

Once you decide which GPS to get, forget the HD Route Planner, IT'S A POS! Either purchase the Garmin Mapscource, City Navigator program or find a friend that has a copy (if your buddy has a Zumo, he's got it) and load it on your computer. This program is tied to the origional purchacer's GPS serial number and will not let you transfer maps to the memory of other units, but since all units except a few handhelds already have all the maps installed this really doesn't matter. You can transfer routes, waypoints and tracks to and from any unit.

Thanks - just learning the device. An ebay listing showed a walwart with mini usb plug as a charger for the 765T. Looked just like my charger for my AT&T HTT 8525 cell phone. Turns out my cell phone charger works just fine on the 765T. One less thing to worry about.

Time to start a new thread on the Garmin 765T GPS on a Harley, since it is off topic here.

I have a Zumo 550 and it's a great little device. That said, the XM antenna runs $250 retail so I don't use that option. The XM weather (which I don't have) only gives you a weather icon, no the NexRad image you'll find on some other units. The MP3 player is good, but my iPod is more user friendly. It has bluetooth and it works great in the car. Bluetooth on the bike, not ready for prime time. Given the car mount, bike mount, and mapping program I would still pick the 550 over the 450. Although I really wish the weather would show me a radar map to know if I can outrun that dark cloud on the horizon.
