I.......But here in Japan, where I live, some things are so ridiculously high-priced as to defy all logic. Have you ever seen a leather jacket for $7k? You can here. ........
While it may seem stupid to pay $7000 for a leather jacket, how smart was it for a zillion people to buy Japanese cars so that the Japanese could afford to pay $7000 for a jacket?

I usually don't like to buy without seeing it first. If I can see it then order from someone I will.
I know about 40 yrs ago I got burnt really bad on some JCw's stuff mostly chrome, trying to save money, not only was it junk as in fitting and chrome quality, I had to then buy good stuff again..
I tend to lean toward the best quality for the best price. I am not going to buy some cheap plastic chrome coated nothing but then again I am not going to pay a ridiculous price for something that that I can get the same quality or better for a lower price.
In pretty much any category, I have never thought cheaper was better. Price only every really becomes an issue AFTER many other factors are considered.
Certainly, the item needs to be what we want. After that, perhaps it needs to meet certain quality criteria (such as, will it fit?). Only after that and any other criteria are met, do we consider price.
"Cheaper" in the sense of comparing the price of two LIKE items then can win.
Some times, we might choose cheaper, or cheapest, when we consider the item temporary or unimportant over the long term.
