i believe no one should be forced to wear a helmet however i do not ever ride without one and for those that believe the 15 mph statement, let me tell you three weeks ago i was particpating in a track day event at Texas
World Speedway on my yamaha TZ250 when exiting turn two and accelerating down to turn three flat out in fourth gear (approx 100 mph) the guy im chasing makes an instant move to the right and there in the racing line is a guy with bike problems going very slow, i moved right as much as i could in a millisecond and i clipped him and tucked the front under and cartwheeled along with the bike and slammed onto the pavement, knocked me unconcious, broke a couple ribs and destroyed an Arai helmet - besides that i am just fine - ill post a photo of the helmet tomorrow and you can see what protection a helmet can provide !!
just my two cents
Same here...the OP has to be 'bout the hunnerth different way I've heard that same story told...'cept whoever fell over usually hit their head on the curb or sumthin...tweren't wearin a helmet...and died.
I once heard of a guy who rolled his eyes so far back into his head, they fell into the empty void behind his eye sockets.
Sorry you missed the wake.
Sorry you missed her falling over in front of a bunch of shocked mourners.
Sorry you missed the concern of everyone there over the possibility of another biker being injured while two others were already dead inside.
Have some more tequila.

glad to hear she wasn't hurt worse. Helmets are a good idea and do help a great deal. I have alot of friends that will still wear theirs if the helmet law changes here and I respect them for that. I plan on riding with them but without my helmet. I am not positive, but I think in almost all motorcycle fatalities in Mo this year the rider was wearing a helmet; so there are no guaranties.
