No CA smog checks

Police will ticket you for smoking outside in public in Santa Monica. Pffft. I was given a warning as they knew I was obviously not a local. That was my last trip there, and that was about 3 years ago.

I wouldn't put this in the "win" category. At least a smog test wouldn't give the man a reason to hassle and ticket us. This is actually worse than a smog test because the bike could have been set up to pass the test then put back to where it runs right. Now it has to be left in the detuned state with cats unless someone wants to risk getting tickets which I'm sure everyone will do to see if this is enforced.

And I grew up in Santa Monica. Imagine that. Think I'll go say hi to her at city hall tomorrow. That really kills me. With all the other issues they have in that city like HOMELESSNESS, Drug use, etc. I also someone on the city council. I'll be giving her a call too.

Oh yeah, and what are the "converters"? Catalytic converters? I don't think my 2002 has a cat on it or ever did.

I consider this a 'win' as well! Thank you to everyone who did something about it.

Unfortunately, I work in Santa Monica, otherwise I wouldn't spend too much time there either. Sen. Pavley can kiss my ***! The cops around here are totally cool with the Harley guys so I'm not too worried about them enforcing pipes too much.
