Some good news for a change. I E-mailed a bunch of state representatives even though my bikes were too old for the testing. It was going to be just another bite into biker's rights and would continue to grow. We voted down all of the tax props last month as well. Maybe there is hope for this state (I will not be holding my breath).

Makes you wonder how much that had to do with it, doesn't it? Maybe those idiots in Sac are actually starting to worry about their jobs.
1st the public tells them to stuff their tax propostions then the court upholds the voters will (prop 8) now after hearing from some of the people they represent, they back off on the MC smog bill. Hmmmmmm...

Unfortunately, I work in Santa Monica, otherwise I wouldn't spend too much time there either. Sen. Pavley can kiss my ***! The cops around here are totally cool with the Harley guys so I'm not too worried about them enforcing pipes too much.
Time to drink!

That is awesome news and it made my day. Pavin, or what ever the f---k her name is, can kiss my arss.
Not to rain on the parade, but do you guys realize that the watered down version of ticketing loud pipes gives all cops in California complete free gratus to pull you over anytime under "probable cause" under search and siezures laws if a cop perceives your pipes to sound to loud or he/she can see that they are not stock pipes? Yeah I know, it's that way now anyways but this loosens it up quite a bit to fall under probable cause. But I will take this anyday over smog laws.
There are already loud pipe laws in place but most cops choose not to enforce it unless you are being an azz with the throttle, but travel into a anti-motorcycle community now and see how fast you get pulled over.
