ok...sounds good, but I would think that in our current economy (read:budget cuts in the Ohio State Police), they need addtional revenue streams.

I don't think they really care, but I hope it helps motorcycle awareness and saves lives.

FWIW...Butler County,OH again set the record for DUI arrests (over last years record). I just wish they would ticket the cell phone and texting drivers.

Are you serious or am I dreaming?? lol that's great to hear cuz the old "sorry I just didn't see him" as a rider lays dead in the road or maimed is total BS.

I bet I've paid more tickets in Ohio then all the other states combined ( my in-laws are there ). I will say this, each time I deserved it, it has made me slow down in that state, even on the superslab, and the Ohio State Troopers have always been respectful and considerate ( although not too lenient, lol )

Glad to hear it and hope it catches on. If it is in print somewhere it would be a good article to mail to our own state troopers!

L-O-N-G journeys, start with a single step, NICE first step.
Glad to hear SOMEONE is thinking SOMEWHERE in the chain of command.

Dialogue doesn't cost anything, how many people didn't see the interview? Are the newspapers going to cover this angle, in print or on line. Hopefully the surronding states will pick up on this. Thanks for the info.

glad to see them doing something. We are guilty of doing the same thing without being aware of it. I am unable to ride for a while due to surgery and my son was driving me. He got right on the tail of some bikers and I let him have it. He was trying to se what they were riding, and was not thinking about the fact that he was rdriving right up on top of them. I am sure that I do it as well, and make myself be aware of the others around me. It starts with one, and if the police help it happen, then so be it.

Good to hear. Some states are doing the same for big trucks. I think Georgia has signs telling cars to leave more room when they change lanes in front of big trucks and I've heard from other drivers that they do not hesitate to pull over someone in a cage that cuts too close in front of a truck. Glad they are taking the same approach for A.H.'s that cut off bikes also.
