Gettting ready for work this morning a story on the news got my attention. A Ohio highway patrol officer was giving an interview about cars and motorcycles, it seems that the state has decided to crack down on the cars that are driving reclessly and endangering motorcycles. This officer claimed they will be ticketing the cars for pulling out in front of us with out assured distance and even crowding our lanes. How about that for a change.
That's great but the drawback is they have to see them do it.How many times has it happened and no leo in sight.
You are correct they have to see it happen to give a ticket. I feel that just being on the news and talking about should help some. Any time the cagers are made more aware of us is a big plus in my book.
I wish they would have gotten the lady in the SUV that about took out my wife and I yesterday heading back from Sandusky. While slowing for a red light anticipating it turning to green as we got to the intersection and out of nowhere this lady comes passing us from behind in the intersection doing at least 65-70mph. She must have passed the car behind us as well because I never saw her behind us. Had we been turning left she would have killed us both and widowed our young daughters.
I was in instant road rage over the situation but she was way ahead before I knew what happened. I was able to get close enough for her to see me show her the #1 sign....she just threw up her hands as if she didn't care. As I sped to track her down at the next red light my lightbulb came on that my wife was on the back and I was putting us in even greater danger by driving like and idiot so I backed off and regained my composure.
Still pisses me off to think about it....probably one of the dumest moves I have ever seen....passing with double yellow line in an intersection, real safe indeed.
