Not from Upstate either but was up there for a few days. Great riding and the weather was decent for a change. Had a chance to demo a Road Glide and a Classic and I can see one one of those in my future.

I'm from Upstate and I always enjoy rides in the mountains. Americade was a fairly good event, but the weather was great. There are a lot of beautiful areas up there and I've been camping and "moteling" it in the area for over 40 years.
I was not to impressed by the vender's show, that sucked.

americade
cruised from long island with six friends tuesday to lake george ,my buddy had to get a new metzler at the vendors due to a nail on the way up on wednesday only stayed at americade for about eight hours then headed up to lake placid ,then cruised to white face mountain and then back to the island, half in the rain .we had a good time and logged 800 miles beautiful country up there alot different from flat congested long island.

I also hit Equinox Mt. in Vt., lot of good riding there also

I didn't, would rather do it with another type bike. That road just to the N/W of Port Henry was a blast. I think it was called Tracy Rd.
