I've never seen anything like em. Great for cleaning whitewalls. Don't use em on paint.

Never used it on the paint...don't reckon that I would....use it for engine parts and whitewalls...makes 'em bright again.
Zombie has that right, works great on the white sidewalls, but I wouldn't use it on my paint job.

I found some in the auto dept at target that are for cleaning tires and wheels. They don't look any different than the reg household ones, which are great.

BUT be careful!

The box of the household one says:...Not recommended for surfaces that are polished/glossy...

The tire n wheel box says : ATTENTION: DO NOT USE ON PAINTED FINISHES OF WHEELS OR VEHICLE BODY.

I've used them on my fridge and microwave and haven't seen any problems. But them I haven't taken them out in the sun and inspected them either.

Magic Erasers are perfect for whitewalls but not sure about paint.

Not to hijack this thread but another cleaning product that works great is the swiffer dusters. I have used california car dusters for years but these swiffer things are the best for bikes.

DO NOT use them on paint! I can't imagine anything that bad on paint that would need such force. If it does, just try some pre wax paint cleaner (mguires step 1 or similar) and that should take off about anything on the paint.

I don't know how true it is, but I heard that the cleaning agent in those is actually formaldehyde. Don't think I would use them on the paint.

What about on chrome? Mainly my exhaust pipes. They keep getting crap burned on them and it is a royal pain scrubbing it off.

I use Brasso on my chrome parts...used it extensively in the military and takes burnt stuff off of chrome just like that.
