I have a 1998 HD Fatboy. The rear tire looks skinny...actually it is skinny.
I want to get a wider rear tire without having to get a new wider rear fender.
I know I can get a spacer kit but what size is the widest I can go?
Also, what brand would you suggest as some tires look skinny compared to others even though they are the same numerical size.
I think I have a 130 on there now.
Thanks for your help.
Be careful increasing the size on a 98. You can run into top of the fender clearance issues when you compress the rear end and belt clearance to the sidewall.
I once had the Avon Roadrunner and it was a nice tire...it appeared wider than it really was with a bit of an extra lip on it. I don't think they make those anymore though.
Anybody else have some suggestions for what size I can get under my fender?
