it means CIRTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION which means it was wrecked, stolen, in a flood or something in that fashion.
if you shopping for a project bike it can be a ok deal, however, some states will not license a bike with that type of title or a SALVAGE title!! check with your dmv!

Thanks for the info...

While looking at The Pennsylvania Department of Trans. web site I did find some info about CIRTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION titles. It seems in PA that a vehicle with a CIRTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION cannot be titled. In PA something with a CIRTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION is designated as "For parts only". But the info I found on CIRTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION specifically refers to 3 and 4 wheeled vehicles.

I'll need to check.

Thanks again... This forum is awesome!

FYI to anyone in Pennsylvania....

I talked to people at AAA and also the PA Dedpartment of Trans. PA will not retitle a motorcycle in any way (won't give it a reconstructed title) if the bike has a Certificate of Destruction or Unrepairable title.

That sucks...

I takled to 2 different people and I hope thay know what there talking about. If there is any one PA that has retitled a bike that had a Certificate of Destruction please post a reply.

Thanks

Paul

Other title brands to look out for are: Destroy and Junk. Missouri will not allow these to be used for registered vehicles after they have been branded in that maner. They can, however, be used as parts.
